DRC : DECLIK project - Support civil society efforts

The war that has ravaged the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for more than 20 years has also contributed to the breakdown of ties between people and social groups. While the impacts of the conflict are omnipresent, civil society in DRC is showing itself to be a key player in peacebuilding and reinforcing of the rule of law. It’s for this reason that the DECLIK project (translated as Develop and Accommodate Human Rights Initiatives in the Kivus) – coordinated by Agir Ensemble pour les Droits de l’Homme and supported by the European Union, the NED foundation and the French embassy in DRC – puts special emphasis on the activities of local organisations.
